Classical Arts Northern Ireland is 5 years old this month, and to

Moscow
in the wintertime

This
dance spectacular,
set to Tchaikovsky’s magical music, is one of the jewels of
classical ballet. Moscow Ballet's production of the Nutcracker
represents one of the truly timeless tales
of childhood dreams where toys come to life, mice are the villains, and
all things are possible in a magical kingdom beyond imagination.

acclaimed Moscow Ballet features
dancers from the leading theatres of the Commonwealth of Independent

Cappella Caeciliana, under its Musical Director Donal McCrisken, will
be this year's featured choir in the annual Anne Iveston Choral Concert

Shaking
things up in Cookstown

Enrico
Caruso was at the
height of his fame when he performed Carmen at
the San Francisco Opera House in April 1906, but he woke the following
morning to find his hotel room collapsing around him. Caruso and the
Quake tells the story of his escape from the great earthquake and
features music from Puccini, Rossini, Leoncavallo, Tosti and the song
he introduced to the world, ‘O Sole Mio’.

Put
on your dancing shoes

After an inaugural event in 2010 which drew inspiration from a Concert
and Ball held at the Old Courthouse in Antrim in 1789, Ivan
Black returns to lead this year’s concert.
Ivan will
then be joined by a band for the subsequent Ball when there will be an
opportunity
to dance through the centuries with a wide range of dances from waltz
to tango.
